My name is Shujun Peng. I am third year student. I take idst program as my major. I think this program is really good. I am interested in many different area such as Asia study, history and English. Through the idst program, I can take more than one major area. It is possible for me to choose more courses which I am really interested. I like read novel for my leisure time and I just think it is a really good way to kill time. I don\u2019t like play computer game or go outside so I just enjoy stay at home and read books. I spent a long time to learn Chinese history because I can find many interesting characters in different period. For example, I like read Romance of the Three Kingdoms. I just spend two years to read this book. After that, I also repeat to read it in my leisure time. I don\u2019t like take math courses or economic course. For my first year, my father just want me to learn economics.I spent a long time to study it but I just noticed economics is really boring. When I take economic courses, it just made me fall asleep. It is hard for me to understand what is supply curve and what is demand curve. When I take the English course, it is totally different. I like reading novel in the class and writing something interesting. After that term, I just told my father I want to change my major and I am not interested in economic courses. To my surprise, my father just agree with me immediately and he just told me I can choose the English as my major. When I was second year student, I also notice I want to take the courses related to Asia study and history. When I ask my advisor, he suggest me to take the idst program.
