Preparing for Exams
Because we arrived close to exam time, we had a lot of things to review with the students. They had also forgotten a lot of their grammar and I found myself going over basics and refreshing their memory more than teaching new material.

Teaching grammar is my favourite part to English classes, so I had a great time. It was interesting to see what the students would come up with in the sentences, and a lot of the time I found myself explaining rules in the English language that students in Vancouver do not usually ask, such as when “could” can be used and when “would” can be used, and why they are not pronounced “cud” and “wud”. It was a fun experience and also a good way of reviewing my own grammar while I taught the Mexcian students.
