Here is the media that I used on my LMS course site:

- Purpose: used to create interest and appeal on the course splash page

- Copyright: I’ve shared it with a Creative Commons license on Flickr

- Time: about 30 minutes as I experimented with adding text and a complementary color block on the top
- Costs: none (I possessed all the software and hardware already)

- File name: Vancouver to Amsterdam to Cairo
- Type of media: video (Flash)
- Purpose: to show as well as tell, and to provide variety from simple text formats
- Source: created myself
- Copyright: no license explicitly added, which by law means that all rights are reserved
- Technologies required: Source files (images, video, web browser), source hardware (digital camera), screencast technology (Snapz Pro X), computer with sound input capability (MacBook), QuickTime (for file conversion to flatted the video and audio streams to 2 channels), web streaming (provided by blip.tv).
- Time: about 3 hours to prepare all the material, record the screencast, and prepare for uploading.
