The objective of this class project was to produce a Environmental Assessment map of the newly proposed Garibaldi Ski Resort Project at Squamish, British Columbia. I was asked to examine the environmental concerns of this project from a natural resource planner point of view. Outcome of this lab are as follow:

• Learned how to independently acquire spatial dataset online through government websites, and filter data based on analytical objectives.
• Gained background knowledge on the Garibaldi Ski Resort and evaluated its environmental impact through producing a environmental assessment map.
• Developed cartographic and written communications skills by considering the non-technical audience perspective in the process of  map making and written summary of the assessment results.
