My research focuses on fieldwork in the Interior of British Columbia, where I work with speakers of Indigenous languages that are still largely under-documented, especially when it comes to syntax and semantics. Since there\u2019s only a limited amount of time left to work closely with fluent first-language speakers, this work feels both important and urgent. It\u2019s not just about documentation; it also plays a role in supporting language revitalization and helping develop strong teaching programs for future generations of speakers. I\u2019m part of a larger team of researchers and community members working together on these shared goals.<\/p>\r\n
