Volunteer through UBC’s Trek program!
Through Trek, students are encouraged to find volunteer opportunities across a wide variety of different organizations. These opportunities, as well as workshops that prepare your for placements, are accessible through careers online and the Center for Community Engaged Learning (CCEL). Sociology students are highly encouraged to check out volunteering for the Gordon Neighborhood House, which “has served as a community hub in Vancouver’s West End since 1942. They facilitate connection, engagement, collaboration, and community development by offering programs that reflect the needs of our diverse community.”
