Directed Studies (Student Directed Seminars)
Have a research interest that you don’t see explored in any offered Sociology courses? Consider seizing the opportunity of conducting a directed study along with a faculty member who is willing to be your supervisor. To conduct a directed study, you must be an upper-year undergraduate (in 3rd year or later), you must have a faculty member supervisor prior to the start of the term, and a syllabus that outlines readings, suggested assignments, and due dates. All required forms can be filled out with the help of a faculty member and must be submitted to the department for approval. For more information, click here.
