Undergraduate Teaching Assistants

Every summer that Department hires several students to serve as undergraduate TA’s. These students typically have done well in their courses, have time in their course schedules, are organized and are mature enough to help run discussion sections for Intro, support faculty in marking exams and do the myriad tasks it takes to deliver high quality course to our students. Students earn around $16/hour and complete 192 hours of work over a term.

If this sounds like something you are interested in doing, watch the Engage Sociology Newsletter for when applications open. This can be a wonderful experience for students to develop communication skills! Questions? Ask May Chan (undergraduate chair)
