Assumptions

Assumptions about different groups form the basis for dialogue.  ENAT Inc. strives to both learn from and educate others during each and every job we do.  Some basic assumptions for this project include:

Assumptions about the authors of BC Government BMPs:

  • Feedback from BMPS users is not being sought out and incorporated into new iterations
  • Cost is not taken into account when BMPs are written

We know that assumptions are made about environmental consulting firms.  At ENAT Inc. we do our best to dispel many of these assumptions but we acknowledge that they are there.

BC Government BMP authors may assume the following about ENAT Inc. and other environmental consulting firms:

  • ENAT Inc. does not understand the process of developing BMPs
  • ENAT Inc. does not understand the role of government in advocating for BMPs
  • ENAT Inc. is trying to promote work for practitioners in the environmental monitoring industry
