Formal written observations this week were completed by:

Who? (FA or SA Name) Date Class
Mrs. Bisset February 22 Gr. 9
FA Elaine Barr February 19 Gr. 9

Areas of focus this week:

  • Classroom management strategies: By blowing the whistle and emphasizing “Stop, Scan, listen = then bring students in.
  • Positive reinforcements: to students that help with demos or equipment.

What I felt good about:

  • Modifying lesson plan on the spot and adapting to different environment settings. For example, adapting to a last-minute change in the gym and going along with the space that I was giving.
  • Reviewing classroom expectations and reminding the students of their goals and objectives.
  • Student leadership and increasing student autonomy into having more drills that other students may have.
  • Emphasizing on the goals and objectives throughout the lesson.
  • Preparation of teams ahead of time.

What I want to work to improve:

  • Consistency within classroom management and moving into the next level of my behavior strategies. This will set the tone for the rest of the weeks remaining.
  • Determining student autonomy and setting boundaries.
