Implications/Limitations

Implications / Limitations

  1. Class Size/ population of the students that may come to class or be absent during my 10-weeks practicum. In addition to this the number of students with exceptionalities and the number school educational assistants that may show during class. My main concern is the classroom climate that may hinder the quality of learning and most significantly whether my motivational strategies will impact students with exceptionalities.
  2. Strategies of motivation through assessment. For example, whether student participation or engagement impacts motivation and how to assess different factors that can show otherwise. Motivation, can look in different ways and one of the barriers that could factor my results is the different learning components that each student has.
  3. Time with (Student grades/Rubrics); one of my strategies deals with implementing different formative assessments.  I plan to implement different exit-slips throughout my first unit during my long-practicum, and one of the implications deals with the time that this could take away from the quality of learning  during class time. Furthermore, is the monitoring the process of growth and developing in my students and due to the fact that is only 10-weeks I feel that this is not enough to build strong relationships to see whether my strategies are affecting motivation and self-esteem.
