A garden is not made by singing ‘oh, how beautiful’ and sitting in the shade.

-Rudyard Kipling

As Kippling alludes to, it takes work to grow a beautiful garden. We don’t always get it right, some seeds may never come to flower or fruit, but it is our failures that give us the wisdom it takes to eventually see a beautiful flower bloom. The garden is a metaphor for my experience through the Graduate Diploma in Education (GDE). From seed to fruit, I draw parallels between the life of a plant and my own experiences of growth.
