Listening with the Eyes:\u00a0The Sounds of Latin American Literature Conference<\/h3>\n

“Listening with the Eyes” brings together scholars thinking at the intersection of Sound Studies, Latin American Studies, and Literary and Cultural Studies. Presenters have had proposals accepted to a special issue on Latin American literary aurality, to be submitted to the Revista de Estudios Hisp\u00e1nicos<\/em>.\u00a0Contributors will present an early version of their work for feedback and discussion. See the original Call for Papers here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The conference is open to the public, with a maximum capacity of 50 people. Priority registration to reserve a spot at lunch on Friday has closed, but you can still join us for refreshments and to attend talks both days. We hope you will join us after the last panel on Saturday for appetizers and pints at Koerner’s Pub on UBC campus.<\/p>\n
