My name is Sonja and I am currently a third year student studying Kinesiology. I am very passionate in learning about how our minds work and how our bodies function. Throughout the past few years I was able to gain knowledge and professional expertise that will prepare me for future studying of medicine, rehabilitation of others, and a potential career in healthcare.
I am also a student athlete playing on the UBC Varsity Women’s Golf team. I’ve been playing golf since I was 6 years old and I love the culture, the competitiveness and the hard work to get better everyday. By being a varsity athlete, I have thoroughly enjoyed the training and practice, but most importantly learning how to love the game all the time, not just when your putt goes in or when you win a tournament. I want to pursue professional golf and play on the LPGA tour after graduation.
