Proposal presentation formats
We accept academic submissions for presentation in the following formats:
Academic paper. Please submit an abstract (250 words max.) that outlines the issue or research question explored, perspectives or theoretical framework used, research methods, findings, and conclusions. Your presentation should be about 15 minutes in length. Please note that if there are not enough spaces in the program to accommodate all academic paper presentations, some proposals may be accepted as posters.
Poster. Please submit an abstract (250 words max.) that outlines a) the ways in which theory and practice are enacted in an early childhood setting, or b) an issue or research question explored, perspectives or theoretical framework used, research methods, findings, and conclusions.
Workshop. Please submit an abstract (250 words max.) outlining the rationale for the workshop and planned activities. An interactive format, workshops can involve the exploration of an area of practice through extended discussion, brainstorming, mini-tutorials, or concept demonstration sessions. Please specify the duration of the workshop and how many facilitators it will include.
Sharing circle. Please submit an abstract (250 words max.) outlining your plans for the information and materials you might share with participants. This interactive format will be an ideal space for discussions related to practice, exploring challenges and sharing ideas and solutions, presenting pedagogical narratives, and practitioner reflections.
All the proposals will be peer-reviewed. An email confirming receipt of your submission will be sent within two business days. Please do not hesitate to email if you have any inquiries or concerns regarding the proposal submission or the conference. Participants will be contacted via email regarding the final decision.
