Re-Introduction, 2013

Another intro…

So, this is just a quick hello, seeing as I already have a GRS blog. Despite the fact that I’ve had a blog before, I was finally accepted into the faculty of Land and Food Systems this year, and really feel that it’s been pivotal in my experience here at UBC, so I’m going to do quick re-introduction of myself and what I am doing.

I am now in my third year here at UBC, and it seems like just this year my classes are all starting to be interrelated and relevant to one another, which I love. I am in LFS, and working towards a major in GRS. I would like to base my studies in Europe, and am hoping to go on exchange next year. My fairly broad focus is Sustainable Agriculture, but some of my favourite classes are those that I’ve taken in soil science. I have studied French for the last couple of years, and that will be my language, although I am also working on Spanish and would like to learn a couple others some day. I’m not sure exactly what I would like to do in the future, but for now I’ve got about all I can manage to think about with six classes and trying to make time for the rest of life.

The rest of life at this point doesn’t involve a whole lot outside of studying, but I am super happy to be living in Vancouver, and for the opportunity to be surrounded by brilliant minds and vibrant lifestyles.
