Clover moves quickly. They germinated over the first weekend and has since dominated the plot. No sign of any garlic activity from the surface.
Mystery foot (paw? claw?) prints on the soil itself.
Adventures in Communal Gardening
Welcome to the (Geography) Staff Geogarden page! We started things off by planting in the rain! Good thing it wasn’t pouring.
Fall really limits what we can or can’t plant but it’s apparently a great time to plant garlic! Vicky also brought some chives and oregano from her garden, which are perennial plants so they’ll probably die in the winter and hopefully re-seed themselves in spring.
Garlic goes in 4 inches deep!
To fix the soil with nitrogen (in preparation for spring planting), we scattered crimson clover seeds over the entire plot. Alex was MIA because of the rain.
