I would LOVE to have this in my classroom one day. \u00a0In the video, Mr. Burns simulates how masses are gravitationally attracted to each other, why smaller objects orbit larger objects, why the planets are moving in the same direction around the Sun and how the moon can orbit the Earth, whilst also orbiting the Sun. \u00a0Should someone physically recreate this metaphor in their room, I think that it would satisfy most of, if not all, the <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/stem2017\/2017\/03\/14\/this-week-was-a-full-embodied-workout\/\" target=\"_blank\">requirements for an effective metaphor.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Gravity Visualized\" width=\"620\" height=\"349\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/MTY1Kje0yLg?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Although this may be better digested by a high school crowd, the metaphor that this instructor uses to simulate space-time is extremely visual.
