Subscribing to Posts/Comments

Hello again, this one’s aimed at those who are a little more WordPress savvy than myself:

Is there any way to subscribe to posts/comments in WordPress?

I find it can take some time to find my way around the WordPress blog… at least something like an email update might help me from feeling constantly out-of-the-loop.

Thanks and enjoy your Saturday!

  1. To be honest this is not something I have been able to find a way to do either. So my solution is to use a Google Doc with a table. I list each week and then I paste the links to the posts I have commented on and want to stay part of the conversation. That way I just open my doc and directly jump to the post I want to check on, and it also lets me be more aware of how many posts I am participating in each week. This method has been helping me stay organized. 🙂

    1. That sounds like a great idea! Maybe I’ll steal it 🙂

I found it own way in the meantime.
I downloaded ‘feedly’ for my Android and subscribed to the posts and comments as separate RSS feeds. Then I set up two widgets on my home screen (feedly has widgets), one for new posts and one for comments! It works well!

It’s still hard to keep track of what’s what, though, so maybe I’ll try the doc method!

      1. Hi Scott,
I also have this problem – without a clear indication of which posts I already read and which not, I feel quite lost and don’t know where to start reading. I will try the GoogleDoc idea, so I can at least find those posts wher I commented on.
