Tackling the Topical Urban Issue of Density
In this assignment, my project partner and I had to develop an infographic that dealt with the issue of density in urban regions. Our task was to develop an infographic poster that:
- Unpacks the policy debate on the topical urban issue.
- Highlights innovative urban solutions from 3 different cities. We selected Greater London, Paris, and Singapore.
- Explore the potential application of those solutions in the Vancouver context.
Overall the experience was challenging as we had to fit all our information into a 18 x 24 inch document in addition to making it look aesthetically pleasing to eye by not overcrowding the page. However, we had a great time working on the assignment and in the end we were proud with the outcome of our infographic.
Update: Our prof showed our infographic to the entire lecture as a great example of an infographic on density. She complemented how we did ours differently by using a landscape format instead of portrait.
