The British Columbia Association of Aboriginal Friendship Centres is located in Victoria, BC and is an umbrella association for 24 different Aboriginal friendship centres throughout BC. Their mandate includes betterment of friendship centres, establishing and maintaining communication between and among friendship centres, acting as a unifying body for friendship centres, and as an advisor to the government on programming that may assist the centres. This mandate has an ultimate purpose of bettering the lives of Aboriginal peoples.
