The daily grind shuts down, and you could even have a truncated lifespan. There&#8217;s no guaranteed cure, and might be impossible to even treat.\u00a0Such a bleak outlook can drive some to seek unapproved alternatives. One such option is proposed by &#8220;Doctor&#8221; Tullio Simoncini, who claims\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.curenaturalicancro.com\/\">cancer is a fungus<\/a>\u00a0and cured it with baking soda.<\/p>\n<p>Too good to be true? It is, and it has lethal potential.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Simoncini&#8217;s &#8220;Cure&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Cancer is Fungus 1 of 2\" width=\"584\" height=\"438\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/HQuODiMlUsc?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>Youtube User Credit:\u00a0ThomasMassengale<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Simoncini repeatedly observed that tumors were &#8220;always white,&#8221; and must be caused by fungi, since they are always found in the tissues of cancer patients. \u00a0The cure is a solution of baking soda injected either into the blood or the tumor. The success on all cancer types is due to the &#8220;<em>speed at which\u00a0<\/em>[baking soda]\u00a0<em>disintegrates <\/em>[the tumor], which makes it impossible for the fungi to&#8230;defend itself&#8221; (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.curenaturalicancro.com\/2-treatment-sodiumbicarbonate.html\">Simoncini&#8217;s FAQ<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Not-So-Little &#8220;White&#8221; Lies<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Scientific evidence shows Simoncini&#8217;s proclaimed miracle is nothing more than a pile of fool&#8217;s gold. Tumors may appear white, but so do a variety of <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Microorganism#Fungi\">microorganisms<\/a>; color is too broad to implicate causality for sure. Also, microbes are found literally everywhere, and can <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thebreastcaresite.com\/tbcs\/InTreatment\/Chemotherapy\/ChemotherapyImmuneSystem.htm\">increase in number during cancer treatment<\/a>. Simoncini&#8217;s focus on\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Candida_(fungus)\"><em>Candidae<\/em>\u00a0<\/a>is unclear, but\u00a0<em>Candidae\u00a0<\/em>frequently cause <a href=\"http:\/\/www.emedicinehealth.com\/candidiasis_yeast_infection\/article_em.htm\">minor medical problems<\/a>. Baking soda by itself doesn&#8217;t present a threat, needle-guided infusions of it are a different story. Blood needs to be <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Blood#Narrow_range_of_pH_values\">slightly alkaline<\/a> in order for all cells of the body to function properly, but the direct injection jumps the body&#8217;s pH to an intolerable level. Although people might appear fine, <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Alkalosis\">alkalosis<\/a>\u00a0and hypokalemia\u00a0are only detectable through <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wisegeek.com\/what-is-the-connection-between-hypokalemia-and-alkalosis.htm\">blood tests<\/a>. Beware of &#8220;alternative&#8221; and &#8220;natural&#8221; treatments preying on the desperate. Cancer is not due to invasive fungi or bacteria, but because of renegade cells that have had <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Oncogene\">genetic<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Tumor_suppressor_gene\">mutations<\/a>. Most cancers are treatable, and plenty of patients live out the rest of their lives after recovery.
