What was a life-changing event for you? What advice would you give to your 20 year old self?

These were two of many questions posed by UBC students over three days during Reading Week in February 2015. The students were interviewing seniors as part of a project titled Documenting the lives and stories of seniors in New Westminster.

The project was promoted in the New Westminster News Leader.

During the project, students interviewed seniors and recorded their personal histories and most memorable experiences. The students then documented and compiled the stories. These are the stories.

The interviews were conducted at the New Westminster Public Library and Century House.

The project was delivered in partnership with Family Services of Greater Vancouver and Literacy New Westminster.
