By taking Course Geography 270, it helped me understand the Geographic Information Science as a discipline in support of geographic analysis and understand the ethical implications of using GIS during the lecture time. Besides, the lab session provides me a practical working chance to use ArcGIS and different datasets for geographic analysis such as environmental impact assessments, evaluate the endanger zone in Vancouver, social issues like comparing the housing affordability in London and Vancouver. More importantly, I can explore the real-world geographic analysis by using GIS with my team members in final project.
