One of my unforgettable experiences was doing volunteer education work in Roppongi, Japan. It was the most meaningful experience in my life and inspired me a lot. I represented our college and YMCA to teach some basic English and designed different activities with the kids in the kindergarten. The most challenging part is that we had difficulties in communicating with them because we do not speak in Japanese. But we had to figure out solutions to overcome the difficulties and complete our tasks. My team had six team members and during the progress, we had some conflicts among the team members. As a team leader, I had the responsibility to tackle the conflicts and find out the best solution to balance the desires of different members. If one of us decided to give up or not to contribute, we would not be success. Also, work distribution and the risk management are very important in an event, we have to be well-prepared if there are some accidents occur. Cooperation is the most important factor in teamwork.
