To get ready for the upcoming Winter Bike to Work Week, Transportation Planning is offering a workshop on winter riding in Raincity.
This intermediate-level workshop is perfect for those who ride to work in the summer and are thinking of trying it in the fall or winter. You’ll learn more advanced tips and tricks about biking to work in Vancouver’s winter riding conditions, including:
• Dressing for the weather (staying warm and dry)
• More advanced cycling safety
• Advanced use of your gears
• Cold-weather care for your bike
• Lights and visibility
• Information on UBC specific resources: bike cages, lockers, etc.
• Bike maps and other resources will also be provided
