I am a fourth year student at UBC studying both International Relations and Environment and Sustainability in the department of Geography. I am originally from New Mexico and developed a passion for the environment at a young age growing up surrounded by a vast expanse of forests, deserts, and mountains. I am interested in the intersections of society and the environment and believe that by empowering communities to understand and take responsibility for their environments we can work toward a more environmentally just and sustainable future with an emphasis on environmental protection, the empowerment of women, and inclusion of aboriginal perspectives and voices.
