If the workshop is to take place in late August or in September, please contact the CTLT TA Development Educational Developer no later than mid July.<br \/>\nTo send us a request for workshop facilitation support please fill out <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/tatrainingworkshops\/workshop-request-form\/\">this form<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>For guidelines for 1-3 day long workshops (Instruction Skills Workshops (ISWs) and Day long Presentation Skills workshops) please visit <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/1QnI9_L08YF1DO9DoH6PpJgeaZYuDAo1uuhS2cFzH9hc\/edit?usp=sharing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">this document<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #993366;\"><strong>Learning Objectives:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Facilitators work with the learning objectives that the department coordinators provide in their funding application and\/or in consultation with the CTLT TA Development Educational Developer. The coordinators might choose to have a short initial meeting with the facilitators to revise the learning objectives.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #993366;\"><strong>Cost:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 hour workshop = $183 ($160+14% benefits) per facilitator<\/li>\n<li>1.5 hour workshop = $274 ($240+14% benefits) per facilitator<\/li>\n<li>2 hour workshop = $365 ($320+14% benefits) per facilitator<\/li>\n<li>3 hour workshop = $548 ($480+14% benefits) per facilitator<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Notes:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Workshops are co-facilitated.<br \/>\n<\/strong>(If you would like to co-facilitate your session in partnership with CTLT visit <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/tatrainingworkshops\/guidelines-for-co-facilitation-in-partnership-with-ctlt-facilitators\/\">this page<\/a> for more information)<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>$50\u00a0 minimum for materials\/supplies\/copies<\/strong> (for in-person workshops longer than 5 hours)<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Note: If for any reason the scope of the facilitators&#8217; work expands beyond 3 hours of preparation per each hours of workshop, this may involve an increase in preparation hours and therefore an increase in the cost of the workshop.<\/p>\n<p>For information on the cost of the Instruction Skills Workshops (<strong>ISWs<\/strong>) and Day long <strong>Presentation Skills workshops<\/strong> please visit <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/1QnI9_L08YF1DO9DoH6PpJgeaZYuDAo1uuhS2cFzH9hc\/edit?usp=sharing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">this document<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>Cancellations:<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>CTLT facilitators start planning for workshops at least 2 weeks before the workshops (depending on the length of the workshop). If the department TA Training coordinators cancel the TA Training sessions within the two weeks prior to the workshop(s), CTLT still needs to pay facilitators for the prep time.
