This week brought new participants and more great sharing of examples of courses built on WordPress:
\n* Chris Lott’s graduate course on Digital Literacy & Intellectual Property<\/a>.
\n* Tom Woodward’s examples of making things work<\/a> with duct tape and bailing wire (or plug-ins and forms of you prefer). Plus an interesting implementation of gravity forms and FacetWP<\/a> for a course directory.
\n* Colin Madland’s online faculty development<\/a> using the Learn Dash plug-in to help create “collections” of lessons and units within sections (hope I have interpreted that right, Colin!)
\n* Jeff Merrell writes about the design challenges he is grappling with<\/a> in his course.
\n* Jan Webb has reflected on her learning experiences with WordPress<\/a> as preparation for developing a WP<\/abbr> backdrop for her english courses this fall.
\n* other great examples were shared via the Google Hangout for this week. You can view the archive here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

EconProph reminded us in his sign on post<\/a> that one of the biggest barriers to “the spread of open pedagogy and open teaching is the hierarchical and \u201csilo-ed\u201d nature of higher education. It results in a lot lone wolf\u2019s who all have to reinvent the wheel.”<\/p>\n
