Little introduction about myself: I&#8217;m a 1st year Sauder Student from Victoria, B.C. I&#8217;m single and I like long walks on the beach and sunsets if any of the ladies wanted to know \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n<p>Aannyways, here&#8217;s an article that is related to what we&#8217;ve been talking about in class: government intervention.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.theglobeandmail.com\/report-on-business\/turn-down-noisy-tv-ads-crtc\/article2164183\/\">http:\/\/www.theglobeandmail.com\/report-on-business\/turn-down-noisy-tv-ads-crtc\/article2164183\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Basically, you know those really loud commercials meant to catch your attention in the kitchen? \u00a0Well CRTC is forcing the marketers to turn down the volume by Sept 1, 2012. \u00a0It&#8217;ll probably decrease the effectiveness of marketing campaigns because the whole point of loud commercials was so that if you get up to get something from the kitchen during commercials, you&#8217;d still be able to hear it. \u00a0And now that there&#8217;s a volume limit, you won&#8217;t be able to hear it, at least not as well. \u00a0So for the marketers, it&#8217;s not good news, but for me, as a avid tv watcher, and not a marketer, i don&#8217;t mind it at all. \u00a0just shows you the difference between consumers&#8217; wants and the marketers&#8217; wants.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This is my first blog ever, and I must say I feel a little awkward talking to nobody and everybody. \u00a0Oh well, I&#8217;ll get on with it.
