Welcome to my webfolio! My name is Timothy Goh and I am a 4th year Biology student at the University of British Columbia. This webfolio is intended to showcase some of my best work crafted throughout the entire ENGL 301 course.
ENGL 301 is a course design to teach students from interdisciplinary background the techniques, protocols and ethics of written and online communication in business and professional contexts. Specifically, this includes the preparation of proposals, applications, correspondence and online communication: emails, texts, Web Folio and networking. This course is geared towards students in their 3rd or 4th year of undergraduate studies providing them with immediate benefits before stepping into the work force.
The collaborative element of this course allows people from varying levels of expertise to guide and challenge me while helping to grow my technical skills. Not to forget, working collaboratively encourages teamwork which is of utmost importance upon entering the work force. Comparatively, this course enables me to acquire practical knowledge that transcends this course. Whether I choose to apply for graduate school or enter the workforce upon graduation, I am confident that this course has equipped me with tools and knowledge that would help me succeed in any professional environment.
