This platform is dedicated to creating space for innovative, anti-oppressive approaches to language education\u2014approaches that challenge traditional norms, which often marginalize non-dominant cultures and perpetuate inequities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At Student&#8217;s Corner, we\u2019ll feature:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Research Highlights:<\/strong>&nbsp;Summaries of research studies by graduate students.&nbsp;\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>Word Limit for written summaries: 300\u2013500 words<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Video summaries: 3-5 minute<\/em>s<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Teaching Insights:<\/strong>&nbsp;Real-world examples of anti-oppressive teaching practices.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>Word Limit: 400\u2013600 words<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Reflections:<\/strong>\u00a0Reflective pieces focusing on anti-oppression, social justice, and EDID (Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Decolonization) in language education.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>Word limit: 300-500 words<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Picture Story:&nbsp;<\/strong>Images\/photos from global spaces and places offering unique perspectives on our diverse multilingual\/multicultural contexts. \n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>Word limit for captions or accompanying text: 100-150 words<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you&#8217;re a graduate student and interested in getting your work featured at GRC, please contact us through the <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/tgrc\/contact-us\/\">contact form<\/a>. We welcome a variety of formats, including written pieces, images, audio\/video recordings, and art-based submissions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>All contributors to this section must ensure that any shared content involving human participants (including student work, research, testimonials, etc.) meets ethical standards.
