Walking down Discovery Avenue,
\nI am dumbfounded by the avenue,
\nthat is a college education; this oh so glorified education.
\nThe road to scholarly liberation.
\nYet is this truly liberation,
\nIf I am perceivably in need of salvation,
\nSalvation which led my motherland to procrastination;
\nand poverty; the malnourished child plagued by starvation…<\/p>\n
Am I but a dumbfounded youth?
\nCascading through these undulating truths;
\nLost in the sound of maroon leaves,
\nand cold feel as the summer leaves.
\nThe cold feel that is winter’s presence,
\nmarked by hot chocolate & spine chilling breeze.
\nI wallow in this university centred adversity,
\nperplexed by animosity and academic controversy.
\nI traverse the Okanagan in search of serenity.
\nWhat Serenity?! Am I a lost cause? Am I…?
\n… hope is my only escape,
\nI only hope it can save me.<\/p>\n
