Classes are over, therefore it is time to look back on the most rememberable topics and what I have learned.

One of my highlight was for sure the presentation of Junxion. In particular one moment stuck in my head, when Garth Yule said that what a company wants is not always what a company needs in order to achieve its goals. Moreover to analyze the situation and base the recommendations on the findings, in contrast to sticking to solutions and try finding back up data for them. As a result I tried to take this approach for all our client challenges and beyond for assignments from other classes.

Furthermore to learn about many different kinds of companies and their sustainable impact, count to the most interesting topic. Especially learning about B-Corps was very valuable for me, since I struggled in the past to find potential companies to work for, which align with my believe. Consequently B-Corps will be on top of my list, when I am searching for a place to work in the future. In that sense I recall the Video of the Austrian company Gugler*, which follows the cradle to cradle model. Cradle to Cradle is a model, which was new for me, but from my point of view it is an essential model to consider when producing products and services.

Besides the reading of LOHAS and the different shades of green, which I am sure everyone will remember clearly, the 7 sins of greenwashing was one of my favorites. Firstly because this is a marketing class and communicating a brands value or sustainability initiatives most efficiently is a very important topic. In addition, thanks to the report I am now much more able to identify green washing companies. Besides it was quite interesting to read about the retail industry, and getting informed that the number green products rose by 78% between 2008 and 2009.

As I am now thinking back, so many topics come to my mind which could be included here. As a result I am now more convinced than ever before that promoting sustainability is one of my mine goals for the future.
