I have recently been studying the topic of arable lands for a research paper I wrote. In the midst of the writing process, it became increasingly apparent to me that the degradation of arable land is an issue that we humans, as a species, face on varying scales: locally, regionally, nationally and globally. I have come to realize that arable lands are an essential keystone that holds our society together. The presence of arable lands ensures food security and is the base or our global economy and wellbeing. To read more, I have attached my paper below.
