Disney 90th Birthday

Walt Disney once said that he was not aim to only make children film. The films were dedicated to children in our hearts; no matter we are 6 years old or 60 years old. Since the first silent anime “Alice gets in Dutch” was born in 1923, Disney has been founded for 90 years. The Walt Disney Company celebrates its 90th birthday with a large-scale commemorative exhibition in the home town of its founder and namesake. The exhibition is on show in Chicago from October 16th 2013 to May 4th 2014, concentrating the nine-decade history of Disney. Visitors can also learn cartoon renderings from Disney animators.

The company has been valued in 2013 as the largest media conglomerate in the world by revenue. After acquainting Picks and Lucas successfully, the range of audience turns from girls and boys to adults gradually. Disney itself is also determined to providing the audience excellent home movies. The change of target market is a sigh of development and will lead the company to maximize the profit.

“Guests will be immersed in Walt Disney’s ‘can do’ spirit, optimistic outlook and never-ending curiosity that propelled him through his impressive career. This spirit continues to be the creative inspiration behind many of the incredible experiences created by Disney today.”
