This week I made a lot of trades to make up the loss of last week. Firstly, I bought feeder cattle at the price 1.23 and sold it at price 1.24 for 10 quantities. I bought lean hogs at price 0.43 for 15 quantities and sold it at price 0.45. This trade was a successful one, which brought me around 7000. The following part I will talk about my short trade. I went short soybean oil for 3 quantities at the price 0.36 and cover it at the price 0.35. I went short ZW/Z6 for 7 quantities at the price 4.11 and cover it at the price 4.09.I went Short ZK/X6 for 4 quantities at the price 10.13 and cover it at the price 9.98.
The only trade I lost money this week is for cocoa. On October 26, I went bought 30 quantities on Cocoa, based on its history price of 18 months. I bought it at the price of 2760 and sell it at 2755 and the price at present is 2735.It’s a good choice to sell it early in case of huge loss.
This week, I will pay attention to lumber, because the price has decreased to the lowest point for the recent 3 months. I read the news (7 October 2016) on lumber that during the first five months, lumber consumption was 14.2% higher than during the same period in 2015. One thing I am very curious that the demand of lumber in winter should be higher, but it doesn’t have that impact on the price.
