Road Trip Anyone?

Something I have wanted to do for a long time, and by long I mean it’s been in my head for about a year or so, is a road trip to the Grand Canyon. It all started when I was watching Parks and Recreation (aka one of the greatest shows) when two people took a random a** road trip to the Grand Canyon. It got me yearning for something similar. Why couldn’t just take a car and drive to somewhere cool, oh yeah cause I’m stuck in Canada. Don’t get me wrong theres a majestical beauty about Canada that I love and want to see more of, but all the big things, those giant landmarks seem to be all the way on the other side or in the US of A. So out of sheer curiosity and mainly because I don’t know my US geography I google mapped the time it would take to get to the Grand Canyon. And low and behold the trip was only over 24 hours by car. I thought hey this is doable! So since then its been on my bucket list. Part of me never really thought this would be something I would do, but I’ve made a pact to myself that this summer I will go to the Grand Canyon, if I go with a friend or myself I’m going to go!  So earlier this week I planned it all out! I didn’t go into detail but I looked and decided that yeah I’ll drive down, then on the way back I’ll hit San Fransisco why the f*ck not!

Time Lapse of Study Failure

As I was hard at work studying for finals *cough sarcasm cough* I figured I’d film a little video that shows my typical study period. So here is a time lapse of my failing attempts at studying for finals. This is something I’m sure we’ve all experienced if we’ve ever had to study for anything. I sped this  video up over 1000 times, it was literally over half an hour, and I think of the 15 min I spent studying I spent the same amount of time watching youtube videos… Its a vicious cycle man!

Don’t get me wrong, sure I’ve been spending a horrible amount of time on youtube these past few days. But I have also gotten a lot done. I may have just said that because I know my mom reads these… Either way the studying is always slow go, especially when the textbooks are boring as watching a sloth in a marathon.

This is the beginning.

I was going to wait for the new year to start this. I figured that’s the prime time that everyone revitalizes their life. But as I was sitting at my desk planning for the year 2016, I thought “Why the fuck do I have to wait for a new year to do this”. I mean if you think about it, which I often do, the new year is a completely arbitrary choice of time in the year. Technically any day is 365 days since the last time the earth was there. So everyday could be our new year. So with this great thought in mind, I decided to start this blog right here right now.

So here I am sitting in my coziest pajama’s that I’ve been in all day, at 9:19 pm on Dec 6th starting! If you ever get the chance to know me or for some unfortunate reason know me already, you’ll know that starting and following through on things is something I’m completely awful at. I have a bunch of dreams and goals and so many things I want to accomplish but that’s all they ever stay, is dreams and goals.

Just earlier today I made a bucket list, which I’m including below, just incase anyone wants to keep up with how many things are going to get checked off.

No I know this is a really long list and if you’ve scrolled through it all and made it to here than why thank you!
I figure since this is the first post, it’s only natural to tell all the millions of readers (cough sarcasm cough) all about myself.

My name is Tiffany if you haven’t guessed by the title of the blog or the URL. I’m 19 though apparently if you were to meet me in public you would guess I’m anywhere from 15 to 23, still don’t know how to take those! I currently reside in the beautiful city of Vancouver British Columbia. And if any of you are from here of visited here, you know I’m not lying.

I love living on the coast, I decided in the past couple years that I could no longer live anywhere that isn’t close to an ocean. It’s one of my favourite parts of the world. Looking at the waves and feeling the freezing cold winds that come off of it allow me to relax and take a moment to realize how fucking beautiful and amazing our world is. I mean I may sound like one of those people who come to Vancouver and get this realization, but I was born here and have moved all over Canada, my family lives in Victoria and really thats where home base is.

I just go to UBC Vancouver. I’m a transfer student with not enough credits to be considered 2nd year so here I am in 1st year again. I chose UBC because of all the opportunities I thought it could offer me. And I wasn’t wrong, the opportunities are endless and amazing. I currently manage the website for the Yoga Club, even though I’m no Yogie (can’t believe thats what they call themselves) but I do recommend that everyone tries out at least a couple classes of yoga, its an hour to forget about everything else.

My biggest wish in this world is to be able to travel and tell stories. I always though my last name suited me so well, if theres one thing I want to be able to do in this world, no matter how, is to tell stories that make other people smile. And I would love to be able to travel while I’m at it! I currently have a much longer bucket list of places I want to travel,  which includes just about any country you could imagine.

I’ve just looked at this post and noticed its far too long, but oh well, that’s a little bit about me. I hope this blog can become something to motivate me to completing my bucket list and exploring further opportunities. I mean I can’t even think about any other interesting tid bits about me to put on here, but when I do I will be sure to include them in another post.

Till next time,
Tiffany 🙂
