[3-0-0]&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<h1>History 112: Canada to 1867<\/h1>\n<p>Calendar description: &#8220;<span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">Contributions of the First Nations, French, English, and others to the social, economic, and political development of Canada. Also offered by distance education. [3-0-0]&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<h1>History 122: Canada since 1867<\/h1>\n<p>Calendar description: &#8220;<span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">Analysis of the social, economic, and political development of the Canadian nation since Confederation. Also offered by distance education. [3-0-0]&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<h1>History 395: Environmental History of North America<\/h1>\n<p>Calendar description: &#8220;A thematic overview of the social, economic, and political consequences of environmental change in Canada and the United States, focusing primarily on the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. [2-0-1] <i>Prerequisite:<\/i> 3 credits of HIST and third-year standing.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h1>History 492: History, Theory, and Method<\/h1>\n<p>Calendar description: &#8220;<span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">Explores selected problems and issues in the theory and practice of historical work. Credit will be granted for only one of HIST 492 or IGS 592. [2-0-1]\u00a0<\/span><i style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">Prerequisite:<\/i><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\"> 6 credits of HIST or third-year standing.
