Wang Wang Dog Shelter is a private, no-kill dog shelter. Currently there are approximately 200 dogs in shelter. Inside the shelter, there are blocks that separate the dogs. There are 8-20 dogs in one block. Each block is separated from the other by fence and has inside and outdoor areas. The funding depends on donation. Only 2 workers permanently work in the shelter so it’s highly dependent on the long-term volunteers. If there is no infectious disease spreading, the most common disease is skin disease and the infection caused by wounds from dog fight (Honey Chang, personal communication, March 1^st, 2013). Except the issue of euthanasia, this shelter has many problems similar to other animal shelters in Taiwan.
