Physics Resources

Here are some good, reliable resources for teaching high school physics.

1. Khan Academy

this site has many videos on a wide variety of topics, including math and science, that range in difficulty from primary to undergraduate.

2. The Physics Classroom
this site has lessons on topics covered in grade 11 and 12 physics. There are explanations, worksheets and labs available. A great tool is the problem sets with the audio solution – this way students can get an explanation while they are practising at home.

3. PhET
this site has a tonne of physics simulations that allow students to manipulate different variables and see how the different phenomena change. These simulations are highly researched and have proven results, especially when used with the inquiry model of teaching.

4. Nick Adamson’s Website
on my website I have shared some of templates that I used during my practicum. These may not be the best for a TOC, but if you ever need to create certain types of documents these can save you a lot of time.
