Teachers’ corner:

  • Creating videos using ToonTastic help students to make progress in: Language & Reading (storytelling), Arts: (drawing& theater).
  • Also it empowers their imagination and creativity while they are producing new content and ideas.
  • ToonTastic teach students how to choose the right emotions, right expressions while they are creating scenes. Kids need to choose a musical background that fits with the scene. Also they need to change the voice tune according to the situation.
  • Toontastic teaches kids how to organize and present story ideas through cartoons. It employs a “Story Arc” that contains five sequential scenes to guide story structure (Setup, Conflict, Challenge, Climax, and Resolution). Each scene in the arc drives the story forward, and kids can even change the order of the arc elementsTeachers can use it in classrooms, and there are several success stories, and planned lessons depending on ToonTastic. • multiusresCreating videos can assist the collaboration process in classrooms. Class can be divided into groups, and each group works on a video. Multiple voices, different ideas enrich the story and make it more creative. Depending on ToonTastic’s idea that collaborative software needs collaborative hardware, they developed a multi-pen interactive display (a big LCD) that allows multiple users to interact with the software simultaneously, which can be supplied to schools.
“Toontastic is the most engaging and impactful resource in our app toolkit. My students love sharing their science explorations through storytelling!”
