A new home for the School of Nursing will soon be breaking ground at the NW corner of University Boulevard and Wesbrook Mall.<\/p>\n
Because of its placement, this will be a statement building, so far dubbed \u201cThe Gateway Health Building,\u201d which seeks to achieve three goals: a net-zero carbon footprint, a celebration of the Musqueam culture, and placing health and well-being as a core design driver.<\/p>\n

This spring, the Board of Governors reviewed the plan, the costestimate, the environmental issues, and unanimously approved the next phase of development: releasing funds to finish the last bits of design, develop the construction schematics, put out the tender for the developers and prepare for Board 3 approval.<\/p>\n
