To continue on the previous topic where I reviewed the book by Avinash Kaushik, I want to share some more resources with people who struggle with studying by themselves. Because let’s face it, it does take a military level of discipline to study an hour a day for 8 months if you are working full time.
So if you are looking at courses that would get you access to more interactive materials (lectures, videos, community forums) but still prefer to do it online, here are some resources for you to consider:
- Web Analytics Training Course by MarketMotive
MarketMotive is co-founded by the master himself, Avinash Kaushik. So you have access here to world-class materials at a reasonable cost. You also get access to the materials for a year, which should give you enough time to go through the assets multiple times. The course is also OMCP certified – so basically certified by the industry and you get a certificate if you finish the program to add to your resume or LinkedIn profile.
2. Digital Analytics through Continuing Studies by UBC/ DAA Award of Achievement
This program is an online part-time program that’s designed for someone who is very keen to accelerate or start their career in digital analytics, and willing to make the investments in time and money. The program is divided into 4 courses that you can register for individually and complete over the period of 2 years. The partnership between UBC academic excellence and the industry representative DAA (Digital Analytics Association) should signal the quality that you could expect from this program. The line-up of tutors and associate instructors is very impressive, including the above mentioned Avinash Kaushik himself.
The world of digital analytics is vast and fast moving with a lot of demand for talent (and rewards accordingly), so make a smart decision and get one of these under your belt!
