The client had very good scoring which placed her in the health benefit zone that is generally associated with considerable health benefits which is very beneficial, not only for her daily life but also her ability to play basketball. The musculoskeletal testing assessed the client’s muscular endurance, power and strength, which is needed to play the duration of the game with the proper actions required without fatiguing. The back fitness protocol assessed the client’s back strength, flexibility and mobility, which is key because all movements in basketball have the back as a component in it. The agility testing assessed the client’s ability to move quickly and change directions with co-ordination which is key for the quick movements involved in basketball.

Overall, the client already scored very good overall in all categories tested. Now the focus for this client should include fine-tuning some of the areas of weakness (i.e. back extension and agility testing) and improving them to obtain a scoring of excellent.  Her program will consists of both strength training and aerobic conditioning including agility drills to build on her existing strengths.
