The Transformative Memory Partnership fosters knowledge exchanges and creation across diverse landscapes of loss with artists, academics, social leaders and movements across Canada, Colombia, Indonesia, Uganda, Peru, Northern Ireland and the United States.
- What makes memory transformative? Transformative of what, who, when?
- When is memory transformative of relations of oppression, dispossession and power? When is it not?
- How do place based and relational ways of knowing inform ways of being, and being together? How do they challenge or contest assumptions about memory and transformative memory?
The partnership host is the University of British Colombia located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples, including the territories of the xwməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), Stó:lō and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil- Waututh) Nations.
