Lisbon, Portugal 2016

I was born and raised in Punjab, India. At the age of 13, my parents immigrated to Kelowna, B.C in hopes of providing us with a better future. I am fluent in written and spoken Hindi, Punjabi, Bengali, and English. I am currently learning French as my husband speaks French as his primary language. I pursued my BSc. Microbiology with a minor in Psychology at UBC and a Dental Hygiene Diploma (DHDP) at Camosun College. I have been practicing as a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) for the last three years in Vancouver, B.C. I am currently enrolled in the degree completion for Bachelor of Dental Sciences: Dental Hygiene program at UBC.

I enjoy clinical practice and plan to continue as a clinician within an ethical dental office with integrity. In the next 10 years I see myself transitioning into didactic teaching within the UBC dentistry program. When I am not working, I enjoy hiking, dancing, swimming, tennis, paddle boarding and watching movies. I love to travel and experience different cultures and ways of life around the world.
