I Graduated from the U of A with a bachelors degree in Business with a double major in Marketing and Human Resource Management.
I spent the next 12 years working in corporations in Human Resources. I moved through a number of different positions, starting from a Human Resources Generalist to a Specialist and then to a Senior Generalist.
After working for 5 different companies in 12 years I decided that it was time for a change. I was fortunate enough to spend some time between jobs and stay at home with my kids and my wife. My wife is a teacher and after spending some time we decided that us both being teachers was very appropriate for our lifestyles.
I thought long and hard and decided that in fact this was the right road for me.
After further discussion with my wife and other teachers, my decision was confirmed.
That is how I ended up in the UBC Education program.
