About Me
Hello everyone, my name is Evonne Tutkaluk. – I often get asked what nationality my last name is so I thought I’d clear it up right away. LOL 😉 My last name is Ukranian actually, not Inuit as most assume.
I live in Red Deer Alberta Canada and I’m in the last half of my MET program. I’m taking 2 other courses this term as well, 500 and 565. I’ve taken 511, 510 and 530 so far and have transferred 2 classes in as well. I will be taking my final 2 courses in the fall to complete my MET journey.
I’m working at my old high school (yep, the one I attended) in Sylvan Lake – H.J. Cody High School and I’ve been there for the past 11 years. I have taught all levels of Math 9-12 and French (FSL) 9-12 but currently teach only grades 11 & 12 Math and French (FSL). I teach with an interactive white board or Smart board and I’m learning to integrate more technology into my classroom.
On a different note, I also love to travel. I have been to a few different places in the world including Australia, New Zealand, Cook Islands, Fiji, Mexico, France, Monaco, Austria, Switzerland, England, Italy, Germany, and many states in the USA. I look forward to discovering many more new and interesting places. I have also taken a few trips with students to France and I have just currently returned from a trip this past April 2010 with another group of excited students.
I look forward to learning and collaborating with you all. Good luck to us all this term!
Cheers,
Evonne
