My Digital Module Group:

I really enjoyed working with my Digital Module group: Cybernetics Serendipity. Our Module included elements mainly from Module 2: Art & Technology with pieces from Module 3: Digital Aesthetics. We submitted our CPPA together as a group. We discussed it together and we all had the same feedback for each other – 9/9 equally for everyone. We believe that we were a strong group that worked well together. We all came to the meetings prepared to share ideas and work together to create an exciting project. We all had our strengths and were able to utilize them to best help the project unfold to what it is now.

My Moodle experience came in handy and I was able to take a leadership role in our group. But, we all really did work so well together, planning, meeting, collaborating, editing, dividing up the work-load, etc. We each used our strengths to help create an amazing DM. I think I lucked out with the best group, I really do think so! Having the time extension worked for our group as many of us are taking two or three courses with similar deadlines. We were able to complete all editing and submit by Wed. Aug 4/2010.

Specifically my contributions to this DM included:

Resident Moodle Expert – helped most of my group members with their html, creating web pages with live links and embedding videos.
Developing Lesson 4 on Digital Aesthetics.
Developing our Module Final Project – I developed this project as well as the discussion forum questions and the accompanying rubric.
Pictures – Uploading all pictures for our entire module and properly citing the web pages (urls) that they came from in an Images & Video References Section.
Videos – I found some great power points online that I wanted to upload to Moodle but found out you can’t unless they have an embed code or url so I had to use my 531 MP skills and convert all 4 power points into movies so that I could embed them in our Moodle. This actually only took me 4 hours in total for that process – wow – my 531 skills have certainly paid off! I cited them in our Images & Video References Section.
Aesthetics – Checking & Fixing all colors, size, font of the entire module to ensure flow and consistency. This included checking and numbering all Pre-tests, Objectives & Post-tests the same way to keep with consistency as some were point form and not numbered.
Resource Check –I checked to make sure all resources were updated and alphabetized.
Key Terms Check – I checked to make sure everyone had uploaded their key terms.
